God Modding

Drive your character considerately and stay in your own lane

1. Do not control someone else’s character without their express permission

• When granting permission for whatever reason, please either (1) put the permission publicly somewhere or (2) inform the mods

2. The game is a fun story for everyone, but your character does not know everything that you know

• For example, if something happened in a private post or log, assume that your character does not know about it unless advised otherwise

3. Do not, without permission, drive your character into actions that directly affect other players

• For example, your character cannot set fire to the budget housing

4. Your character cannot break laws or take extreme action without consequence

• If they join the yakuza, they will be arrested. If they jump twenty feet off a bridge, they would be seriously injured or die

Freestyle

Here in Tenipuri Hell, we love your ideas. However, if your plot idea will impact other characters, please contact the mods. We will advise you how to proceed while maintaining the fun and freedom for other players. Examples include:

• +If Niou wishes to prank a major university with confetti explosions, he must (1) get the permission from the mods and (2) provide an opt out for other players
• +If you think it would be fun for Tokyo to be haunted on Halloween, (1) discuss it with the mods for approval, and then (2) take the advised action to receive an okay from all other players
• +When writing your application to the game, please consider what will allow for the best interaction with other players and characters. If your character has had any personally significant, non-canon/post-canon relationships or events prior to the game, please (1) discuss this with both the mods and involved muns and (2) whenever possible, disclose information into the application to the community. If you have questions about what qualifies as a significant, reach out to a moderator

Age Restriction

You must be 17 or older to ride the Tennis Hell

Activity

Three strikes and you are out! You must meet the activity requirements for each character every month. Failing to meet these requirements three times will result in purging from the game

1. Posts:

• Two per month, preferably spaced out
• You must reply to all or most of the comments on your post for it to be considered

2. Commenting:

• Love each other! Support each other! You must have least one thread on someone else’s post per month

3. Logs:

• One log can substitute for one required post per month. However, in subsequent months, only logs with a different mun will count toward your requirement

4. OOC Communication:

• If you drop off the face of the earth without a hiatus and no one can reach you at the provided contact info for two months, you will be purged

Hiatus

You have lives, we understand. To avoid the wrath of Tennis Hell during busy periods, vacations, etc., please submit a notification to the OOC community. If you do not provide that public notification, your absence will count against you

• Each mun may take a maximum of 4 weeks hiatus at one time
• If you are frequently taking long hiatus breaks, please expect a private conversation about whether or not you have the bandwidth to participate in the game
• In the case of a significant RL event, please reach out to a moderator when you are able to do so for appropriate hiatus adjustment

Disagreements

Be cool, homeslices -- don’t poison the pond. If you have a conflict with a fellow mun, please contact the mods before drama can escalate and affect the game environment. We’re happy to listen and help you work it out

Your opinions are not your character’s opinions. Please keep in mind that in character actions ≠ out of character actions and vice versa

• Characters have their own personalities. If a character is frosty or mean to your character, do not take it personally. If you feel a character has behaved OOCly or with cruelty, please contact the mods
• Muns have their own personalities. If you do not click with another player, consider how your character would behave. Do not exclude people from happenings that their character would ICly be a part of on that basis

Character Limits

Play with us, not yourself!

As of 4/1/2018, we are allowing each mun to apply for and animate up to two characters. We strongly suggest that your two characters are (1) from different teams and (2) are not ones that interact too often in the series. Applications under these circumstances will be considered on a case by case basis

Sex

We’re all adults (somehow, lol)! Write as much of it as you want, but please

• Always post with an accurate rating and a relatively innocent cutline
• List any potential squicks in your description
• Treat your characters well and do not make non-con part of your play here at Tennis Hell

Sensitivity

It’s a crazy, crazy world, but we get enough of that in reality

1. Please do not assign characters tragic backgrounds. Let’s keep this a fun, safe space for everyone by not playing with

• Death
• Rape
• Abuse
• Trauma

2. Refrain putting your character through any serious, non-canon illness

• Minor muse torture -- such as the common cold, or a brief flu episode in the winter -- is absolutely fine and at your discretion

3. Bring any questions regarding gender to the moderators prior to application

4. Avoid IC political discourse on sensitive topics

• Safe political topics include things like history, political science majors, or broad mention of current events in Japan
