[Log] Hitouji Yuuji & Shiraishi Yukari

Who: Hitouji Yuuji & Shiraishi Yukari
What: Yukari brings over Yuuji's birthday present and asks for some advice.
When: Beginning of September?
Rating: PG-13 for slight talks of the D

Monday night was the first day that things felt normal to Yukari. The weekend had been a wild emotional rollercoaster with more hills than drops in her relationship with her brother and her relationship with Kenya both. Between processing the events of the past weekend, starting classes, and trying to plan for her senpai’s birthday, Yukari found herself baking her feelings into a cake for Yuuji.

She settled on a roll cake with strawberry cake filled with a thin layer of chocolate ganache and then strawberry buttercream. The roll was then drizzled in a chocolate ganache, covered in heart-shaped sprinkles, a few dollops of whipped cream, and finally a slice of strawberry to top it off. He hadn’t been picky about her baked goods in the past, so she hoped he would like this, too.

Along with the cake, she had picked up a fashion ring for him while she was in Osaka - it was a titanium men’s band, sized at what she approximated to be his thumb size, that was a plain band on the outside. However, inside, there was a rainbow etched into the band. It was subtle, but might appeal to the flamboyant part of him.

She took her finished product and a small bag with the ring down to Yuuji’s apartment and knocked on the door.

After seeing Yukari’s post, Yuuji suddenly was grinning from ear to ear as he tried to clean up the apartment, while it wasn’t too dirty, he doubted Yukari would appreciate seeing some dirty laundry around.

Just as he finished fixing his bed he heard the knock and when right over to open up the door to his kouhai, “Yo!” He saluted and ushered her in to sit on some cushions he set up . While Marui and him didn’t have much room he did own a small table that he could put together on the fly for when they had guests over.

Yukari followed Yuuji to the cushions and seated herself, extending the cake to Yuuji. “This is for you - sorry I didn't bring plates and forks.” Though based upon pictures that Marui posted, she had a feeling they would have plenty of options for plating food. She hoped that the cake would still be up to Yuuji’s standards now that he had been living with Marui. Yukari herself baked as a hobby.

Yuuji waved her off as he took the cake with a goofy grin and placed it on the table, “Don’t worry, just because we’re a couple of dudes doesn't mean we don’t have at least that much.” From the top of his minifridge he pulled out two small plates with a pair of forks and a knife just in case. “ Is there anything you want to drink? I’ve got..cold tea...or I could make some tea..” He thought for a moment, “ Ah yeah, that’s all I got. That or some cans of booze.” Should he be offering alcohol to his underage kouhai? He shrugged the thought off and looked at the cake again. “It looks even better in person.”

“Cold tea sounds good,” Yukari said agreeably, smiling. She had done enough partying while they were in Osaka that her poor liver could probably use a break from the alcohol. Not that she was of age, but who was counting. “Thanks, senpai.” She set out the bag with the other gift on the table in front of her, placing it in front of what would be Yuuji’s spot when he sat down. She had been excited about it ever since she found it and really hoped he was going to love it as much as she did.

With a thumbs up to his Kouhai he opened up the fridge and served them both two glasses of tea before setting himself down in front of her. Looking at the unassuming bag, he picked it up and looked to Yukari, “Is this also for me?”

“Yep! I picked that up for you in Osaka when I was out shopping with Kenya,” Yukari explained. “It was really hard to wait all the way until your birthday to give it to you, though - I think you’re going to really like it.” But half the fun had also been picking out the little gift bag, a sticker to seal it, and the tissue inside to dress up the gift.

As Yukari explained, Yuuji went straight into opening the bag and pulling out the multicolored paper until he found the ring and put it up in front of his face to twist and see the colors that were hidden away inside the band. A bigger grin spread to his face. He loved it. “I’ve never seen something like this,it’s awesome.” Moving it to his hand he eye’d the size and tried it on his thumb and found it to be slightly tight but it fit fine. “Thanks, Yuka-chan! This is a really nice way to start off my birthday.” Yuuji had been surprised by the gesture but it made him happy to see his friends making an effort for him..

Yukari grinned brightly - especially relieved that it seemed to fit him. “You’re welcome, Senpai. I’m glad you like it. And you know that we can’t let you have anything other than a great birthday.” It was the law, as far as Yukari was concerned. But, for the most part, she felt close to her brother’s friends and had seen them always having a good time together when they were younger. She perceived them as the sort who would always have fun plans on birthdays.

With his new ring on his thumb Yuuji got to cutting up the roll into slices, “I would hope so..” He started as he plated up a piece for each of them before settling back, “by the way, you wanted to talk about something?” Before she could start Yuuji made sure to fork a piece of the delicious looking cake and giving it a taste. One could never go wrong with chocolate and strawberries and it really tasted as good as he thought.

Now that she was sitting in front of him, some of Yukari’s gusto fled her. “Yeah, I do have something to talk to you about,” she admitted sheepishly. After months of being quiet about their relationship, Yukari finally came clean with Kuranosuke that she was dating Kenya. Yuuji already knew, he put the pieces together about a month back, but Kuranosuke had been surprised. Well, and after that, that’s what Yukari wanted to talk about, really. “I told Ku-chan about Kenya.”

He blinked a few times, “Oh good, it’s about time you told him I was worried you guys would just hold it off until you wanted to get married or something.” With that he took another bite, “How did Kurarin take it? I’m sure he was happy for you guys.” Yuuji hadn’t really understood why it was such a problem to just tell him in the first place, he didn’t think Shiraishi was someone that would be angry about that kind of thing.

Yukari picked at her cake, even though it looked delicious and she was sure it was. “Ku-chan was… not happy.” She shook her head as though to clear the thought from her mind like an etch-a-sketch. “He came around, of course - I mean, we’re basically his two favorite people, right?” And the thing Kuranosuke was most upset about was how long they waited, even though they did have their reasons. Yukari was just relieved he hadn’t given Kenya too hard of a time about it.

That made sense. He leaned back and gave a slight shrug, “I mean, you guys did keep it from him for a pretty long time instead of just trusting him. I think I’d be mad if my sibling and best friend did that to me.”

“Oh, and I don’t blame him in the least,” Yukari agreed. Kuranosuke was right to be angry with them about that, but he did also seem willing to see things the other way, as well. They were planning on telling him much earlier than it finally came out, but he had gone on this journey of self discovery and… now she was just getting caught up in her own head.

Yuuji could tell that it had been hard for Yukari so he decided to not push further on. “Well you guys are good now so go do couple-y things in the open.”

Yukari laughed. “I don’t know if I’m particularly into PDA like that,” she said, though she knew that Kenya would want to be able to be couple-y out in public, so she might as well just get used to it. “And… I did feel a bit better about moving our relationship in a different direction now that it’s out in the open.”

“I’m not saying that you guys should be making out in public but other things I guess.” Maybe Yuuji should have been specific. “So what do you guys plan on doing now?”

Part of Yukari wanted to suggest to Kenya that they make out in public just to see how he reacted. Probably blushing, stuttering, and misplaced gusto. “Well, I was thinking of asking him if I could move in with him, but now that Yuushi-san is here I don’t know if that’s still a good idea. I realized while we were on vacation that I don’t like waking up without him.” It actually felt quite lonely, now to be by herself when she got snuggled in bed or got up in the morning.

Oh, that was different. Yuuji scratched his head and tilted his head back and forth, “Don’t you think you should wait a bit? You guys have just started going out...Ah, but I mean it’s your choice and I’m sure Kenya would probably be happy but..” He didn’t want to hurt Yukaris feelings on the matter and it wasn’t really his business. “Probably something you should talk about with your brother, I guess.”

Was nine months of going out after nine years of friendship too fast? Yukari nodded, “I see why you think that, senpai. But what if i asked to move in with you? It's more about him as a roommate, not paying the same rent, that kind of stuff. It just has a benefit.”

All Yuuji could do was shrug, “I don’t think I’m the best example, first we’re only just friends and I’m a gay dude.” To him living as a couple was a different story and he still saw Yukari as still this girl fresh out of high school. He decided to fork another piece, “In the end if you guys want to move in together I’ll support it, just got to talk to Kenya and tell him no funny business.” He joked as he chewed.

“...That was actually the other thing I wanted to talk to you about.” Yukari self consciously tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, a habit she hadn't been able to shake for years.

Yuuji blinked once and pulled his head away as he inspected his Kouhai, “Is Kenya not interested in girls anymore or are we talking about funny business?”

Yukari laughed boisterously and shook her head. “No, the only man he is interested in is my brother.” She had a theory that Kenya just wanted to join the Shiraishi family one way or another and had settled on her as the best option. “No, I mean I wanted to ask you about… ugh, this is kind of embarrassing.”

Yukari was right about that one. Nodding once he poked at the strawberry on his plate as he payed attention to the girl becoming more embarrassed. “Are we getting into sex territory?” He couldn’t think of many reasons she’d get embarrassed to talk about something.

“Yeah,” Yukari admitted, feeling comforted that he was so upfront about it. She took a large bite of her cake to buy herself some time to chew. “I kind of started something the other night and it really brought into sharp relief how inexperienced we both are.”

Yuuji while it had been a while since he had gotten laid but for the most part he found himself to be decently experienced in that sector. “Oh...It’s not a surprise? It’ll always be like that the first few times, nothing to stress out about...What is it that you want to know?” For some reason Yuuji found himself to be quite calm with her inquiry considering that Yukari was talking about her and one of his best friends.

Yukari briefly considered just calling the conversation off, but if Yuuji was going to go there, they were going to go there. “Well… is anything different if someone isn't circumcised? I sort of got the idea in theory, but you never see it in… well. Erotica.”

That was a question he definitely didn’t expect and wasn’t sure if he should try picturing as to why she would ask that. It took him a few seconds before he snapped out of it. “Ah..Dicks are dicks, there isn’t really much of a difference just one plays peek a boo and the other always has his game face on.” Was this really the way to explain it to the younger girl? “I don’t think there’s much to it but being uncircumcised means your man might be...more sensitive just ‘causes there’s more skin?”

Well, that made perfect sense. Yukari had the sense to look sheepish. She nervously pushed her hair over her shoulder and looked down at her plate of cake. “Well when you put it that way…”

Yuuji let out a cough and scratched his the back of his head as he thought about what he just said, “Is there anything else you want to know? You guys should just experiment and see what’s good for the both of you.”

“You’re probably right,” Yukari agreed, feeling silly for saying it at all. She poked at her cake absently for a moment. “I think I’m just nervous… I’m pretty sure he wants to go further. And it’s not that I don’t want it, too, I just have no idea what to expect and it is making me feel vulnerable, you know?”

“But isn’t it okay to feel that way?” Yuuji gave her a half smile and leaned back on his hands, “There isn’t a manual to these kind of things, you just have to go with the flow and you’ve got to trust Kenya as well. It’s a two way thing and I’m sure he’ll do everything to try and make things great for the both of you.” He paused and made a face, “If he doesn’t let me know and I’ll totally punch him in the gut for you.”

Yukari laughed. “Don’t take this the wrong way, Senpai, but I think I might be able to throw a harder punch than you.” He was right, of course he was right, but this was exactly why she wanted to talk to him in the first place. The discomfort and confusion was melting away as she did. “It’s easy to think that I’m in this alone, but he’s just as new to all of this and confused as I am… Though, if I could get him to stop going into doctor mode, that would help.”

Gone was the smile now replaced with an unamused look as he waited for his kouhai to stop laughing, “My punches aren’t that bad..” He mumbled as he forked another piece of cake into his mouth, sure he didn’t that much muscle but he thought he could throw a punch. At least h thought he could. “I’m sure you can find ways to getting him to shut up, just use protection and it’s okay to not get things right on the first time.” That was all he could offer really as advice, Yuuji wondered if Shiraishi would be proud of him for giving his sister this kind of advice.

That all seemed sound. “Okay.” She nodded. “Maybe for your birthday, and as a thanks for all your help, I’ll teach you how to throw a punch.”

That wasn’t what he was hoping to hear either. Putting his palm against his face all he could do was shake his head. “No, I’m good-just happy to help.”

Jokingly, Yukari punched Yuuji in the shoulder. “Aren’t you supposed to be punched twenty-one times for your birthday? Or is it pinched? Spanked?” She grinned wolfishly at him.

“How about none of the above and give your poor Senpai a break.” He was very tempted to childishly pull on one of her pigtails but instead continued to eat. “Spanking by the way does not sound like it’s one of those birthday things one does.”

“Pretty sure it is,” Yukari argued with a sage nod. All the same, she went back to her cake and took another bite. “You know, now that I’m an adult, you won’t be ‘Senpai’ forever. Eventually won’t I just be calling you ‘Yuuji’?”

“No, I’ll be Senpai forever.” He deadpanned.

“Hm… maybe.” Yukari took another bite of the cake, a thoughtful expression crossing her face. “Or maybe only because it’s your birthday.” For emphasis, she stole a strawberry off the cake.

Yuuji actually wanted to eat that but instead let out a sigh, “Just ‘cause you’ve started uni doesn’t get you off the hook on calling me senpai. You should totally do it even when you’re old and grey.”

“Old and grey? Yeah right.” Yukari motioned toward him with her fork pointedly. “You shouldn’t comment on a lady’s age, anyway.”

“I didn’t think you were the type to get offended by those kind of things plus you’re still super young and eventually you will be old and grey and so will I and maybe bald…” He nodded with a frown, “Hopefully not bald, that would be great.”

“You’re going to be bald if you wear your headband so tight all the time,” Yukari joked. “Better start using castor oil.”

He pulled a face, “Oi! I don’t use it that tight.” Or did he? Pulling it off he threw it on top of the younger girls head. “There you can wear it.”

Yukari probably wouldn’t have put it on her head if she wasn’t going to go shower after this, but, well, oh well. She took down her pigtails and settled the band in her hair as a headband - it was wide enough to properly hold her thick hair. “Mine now.”

Moving his head back and forth he tried to fix his hair but looked liked he’d have to use his hands, “You can borrow it if you really want to, it doesn’t look that bad on you. Plus Hikaru might want to crack a joke at you.”
“Doesn’t ‘look that bad’ he says,” Yukari said with a laugh, reaching over to help settle Yuuji’s hair. “You’re such a charmer, Yuuji. You’ll have the boys lining up with that one.” Even with her efforts, it really does just look like he put the band on when his hair was still wet. Or maybe constant wear has just created a groove in his head in the shape of the band.

With a shrug he gave her a confident smile, “Of course, I’ve got plenty more of that where it came from.” He joked as he let Yukari try and fix his hair. Yuuji did in fact put it in his hair when his hair was still not properly dry. “Also add senpai to that.”

“Never, you’re just Yuuji, now.” Yukari replied in a sing-song. “Yuuji the charming.”

He wanted to keep a straight face as he pouted but the add on to his name made him rub his nose, “...okay, that isn’t that bad but you should still definitely call me Charming Yuuji-senpai.”

“Never,” Yukari promised, leaning her head on his shoulder. “I don’t think you actually did anything, but I do feel better… Senpai.”

It came as a surprise when Yukari leaned into him. It took him a moment before he placed a hand on her head giving it a gentle pat. “You’ll figure it out, don’t worry too much and if all else fails you can always google your way out of it.” He said jokingly.

“Kay, but I'm sending him to you when Kenya tells me it's weird to google things in the middle of sex.” Yukari grinned impishly up at Yuuji.
