Appearance: Not changing at all~.
Personality: Fuji is the always smiling and ever calm prodigy, who always seems very cheerful and easy-going on the outside even when that's not always how he feels inside. He has just learned to hide most things too well behind that smile but people who really know him also know when he is faking it. He enjoys teasing people just for fun but also for seeing their more or less cute reactions. Fuji is friendly and social though he will rather not talk about himself and focuses his attention on being extremely curious about everyone around him instead. People talk about him enough, he is actually not as perfect as some say he is but he likes keeping himself and his real feelings as a mystery to everyone else most of the time.

Fuji has his serious side too, he just doesn't show it nor get angry very often. Or sometimes when he gets angry, it only shows in the air around him while he keeps his usual face on. If he opens his eyes whenever he is furious, they look like the glare from them could kill anyone he is looking at. He doesn't mind whatever people do or say to him about himself, or at least that's not how to get him angry, but if anyone says / does bad things to Yuuta or one of Fuji's friends or some innocent stranger even, then that's another story. Don't make him angry or he'll make you regret it is kind of how it goes.

He still enjoys spicy food and wasabi and absolutely loves photographing everything.

Biography: Fuji has been spending a lot of his time abroad, going anywhere whenever he has had time / chances/ money to go see the world outside Japan. He's visited Europe, India, Africa, Australia though he will gladly go to any of those again or go somewhere in Europe or anywhere else where he hasn't been yet.

He went to Seigaku high school though he spent much of his high school time as an exchange student in the United States.

So he has been photographing a lot. He also still plays tennis, whether or not he'll aim to be pro in that is something he's not sure of. Traveling around the world and seeing everything there is has been much more interesting.

Somehow he has managed to get through one year of uni, so everything won't be completely new to him. He's going to his 2nd year instead of third because he skipped one year, spending it on traveling and focusing on everything else than studying.

Surprising no one, his major is photography. He's moving into the Basil Gardens because as much as he'd enjoy the idea of living alone in his own peaceful room, the idea of having roommates, following others' roommate lives as close as he can and getting more people around him is much more interesting to his curiosity.

RP Samples: I guess you could take this post a sign, that I may have survived alive from Africa. Though someone tried to feed us all to lions on one of our safari rides... Did you know that they can and sometimes will open unlocked doors if they get close enough to try that?^_^ You might want to have fast reflexes to shut it before they jump into your car when a situation like that happens.

Well, maybe this roommate life will be just as interesting but much less dangerous than that~.

But I really don't want to be stuck in a room or dorm and it almost feels like I haven't seen anyone in forever, so you -- yes, all of you who are reading this -- let's do something together, okay? ^_^

Appearance: still the same.

Personality: Kai is a very carefree and relaxed person. It's rare to see him get very serious or angry at anyone. Even if he sometimes does get annoyed, it usually passes rather quickly due to him either forgetting or just not caring enough to hold a grugdge. He's brash and impulsive and always out looking for something interesting to do without actually carrying any sort of responsibilities. He's hard to actually control, unless you know how. Kai also has a tendency to be rather rude and say things before giving it another thought.

Biography: After middle school, Kai continue to play tennis as a hobby. He went to High School in Okinawa, but after annoying three years he decided to not go to college or uni. Instead he moved to Tokyo and became an apprentice to a silver crafter. The jewelries he makes he sells and that's basically his source of income, which is why living in the dormitories (Basil Gardens) is a good deal for him. Unfortunately, Tokyo is huge and he gets lost fairly often even today. He tried to keep in touch with all of his Higa teammates still.

RP Samples:

Aiyeeh. Shibuya is larger than I expected. If it wasn't for Eishirou, I'm not sure if I would have made it back home. On the bright side, I managed to find very cool things on the way. Too bad I couldn't afford all things I wanted, but I took pics at least.

Too bad I missed work, but at least boss is a very chill man. And he'll be pleased with the ideas I got anyway, so it's all cool.

Kai Yuujirou. I used to play for Higa. Nowadays I play for fun every now and then. I'm more into making accessories. Nice to meet ya'll again.

Appearance: ...She's between 9 and 10 in canon and she'll be 15 here until her headcanon birthday (July 7th), so she's getting all the changes from a little girl to that! Miyuki is 165cm / 5'4" and she's still growing though she doubts she'll ever be a giraffe like her brother. She's slim with an athletic and toned figure and she works hard to keep it that way. Her hair is so long that it almost reaches her wiast and she's just letting it grow. She's wears casually; hoodies, jeans, sporty clothes, anything that's not too girly for her taste. ...Just a style she's used to, not that she has anything against girly things.

Personality: Miyuki is a cheerful girl, who is much like a energetic/hyperactive duracel rabbit, who needs something to do all the time and doesn't want to get bored by staying still and doing nothing. While she's not as wild as Kintarou, she's like the opposite of her brother, Senri, who seems to be calm most of the time. Whenever Miyuki gets an idea, it doesn't matter how crazy it is, she's already on her way to do it. Not that it needs to be a crazy idea when almost anything works for her as long as there's something to do. She's really carefree and impulsive. If one thing doesn't work, then there's always something else waiting for her. She's friendly, it's easy for her to be social or come up with things to do alone too if no one else has time to do anything with her. She cares about the people close to her a lot and worries about them a lot, even after just meeting them.

She has an extremely fierce temper, that sometimes leads to her own conclusions about situations and definitely makes her yell at people a lot whenever someone or something makes her mad. If she's mistaken about something, she'll calm down easily as if no yelling even happened but she also won't hesitate to speak her mind at all. She's spicy and blunt, always honestly telling her opinions and openly showing her feelings instead of trying to hide them... Though after a moment she'll be the usual tough girl again. She won't let anyone bully others, that's mean and wrong and she'll run between any situation to stop that even if she has no chance against the bullies herself. She has confidence and a very strong sense of justice, that won't get her very far if the situation is really hard but she is a stubborn girl, who will rather die than give up as she herself says it. Miyuki is rowdy, she will fight anyone if they give her any good reason for it. Don't steal her stuff if you don't want her to yell at you!

Biography: After getting over yips, winning her school's tennis tournament and watching Seigaku win the Nationals, Miyuki has been playing tennis in Kyushu even more seriously than before. She won the school tournament on her fifth and sixth year too.

Her plan after elementary school was to move to Osaka for her junior high school years much like her brother did before her. That plan didn't work as her parents didn't let her go because apparently for some reason they have different rules for their daughter than they have for Senri. That's so unfair, Miyuki's not a baby and she would totally spend more time in school than Senri ever spends there during school year! She's actually really good at school too even when she has a lot of hobbies and sport life goals. But to make her parents worry even less about how she'll be able to take care of herself in bigger cities, she's been training martial arts and kickboxing too because fierce yelling won't get her far anywhere and what if everything can't be solved by tennis? At least she'll know some self-defense if she ever needs it. They've been just hobbies while she has been playing in her junior high school's tennis team as a singles player during her years there.

Whenever she has had chances to go to visit Osaka and/or Tokyo, she has jumped on those without any hesitation. Sometimes it has meant running away from home after a fight with her parents as if that proves them wrong about her not being able to make it there on her own (excuse them, at least she knows that Mt. Fuji is not in Tokyo...) but most of the time, she's been a good girl and traveled with their permission on her holidays and long weekends.

She has always thought of An Tachibana as her older sister figure even before Tachibanas moved to Tokyo. So even when they've been living so far away from each other, Miyuki has been spamming her with things a lot with the help of the Internet and her smart phone. And whenever she has been able to go to Tokyo, she's been staying at their home where her parents have been able to sort of adopt her as part of the family too. So, it was easier to talk her parents into letting Miyuki move to Tokyo too if she can (temporarily) live in the Tachibana household while An still lives there too to make the whole moving to new city thing to go smoother. She'll move somewhere else later, but that's her first living arrangement as her baby steps to living in a huge city.

Appearance: Besides gaining a few centimeters to add on to his height, Hiyoshi had never changed in the last six years, keeping his traditional haircut. The only thing that has changed, however, is that he's recently switched to using glasses rather than contacts starting his first year of university.

Personality: Hiyoshi is, to put simply, an introvert. He tends to come off as distant and rude at times, and he's never bothered to change that. He figuring that if someone disliked his behavior enough to not want to further their friendship, then that was that. He saw no need in building superficial relationships or changing himself for the sake of others. He's not one to go out of his way to impress someone he doesn't know, but is still polite to his upperclassmen or instructors out of respect. Hiyoshi doesn't express himself well, but manages to wear his heart on his sleeve.

Biography: Hiyoshi had quit playing tennis at the end of his third year at Hyotei. Whether or not he was satisfied with the end results is never said, but his desire to overcome and surpass his upperclassmen hadn't left. He did gained from being captain and the difficulties that came with it, as well as what makes a good enough leader, but in the end, he decided that tennis just wasn't for him. He quickly learned that there was more to surpass than his middle school goal, facing entrance exams and eventually entering himself in cram school, however, Hiyoshi never really gave much though one exactly what he wanted to do. He mostly focused on his general studies without putting much thought into it, but eventually decided on finding a path in business after comparing his grades in his current classes. Besides, he found being able to see a change in numbers something amusing and was determined that he'd be able to surpass anyone that gets in his way.

After graduation, he entered Keio to pursue his business major and took up a job at a nearby library, shelving books and studying in his free time when work was slow, which was usual. On his free time outside of school and work, Hiyoshi participates in one of the many martial arts clubs available, letting it fill in the time he has while telling himself that the busy feeling makes him feel much more productive. He was now in his third year of uni, getting adjusted to his new room at Basil Gardens (his decision may or may not have been influenced by the price) hoping that his new roommate would be someone he could at least get along with.

RP Samples: Gently, the breeze from outside found its way through his open window, Hiyoshi's eyes close as he sat in a familiar pose on his bed. Meditating was something he enjoyed doing, and something he learned was a lot more helpful than people usually think. Sometimes he meditated the night before a match, whether it was tennis or simply one held at his father's dojo that he would participate in, others he'd do it to clear his mind and allow him to focus more on the endless amount of studying he had planned for his biology test coming up.

After a long exhale, Hiyoshi dropped his posture and opened his eyes. Another breeze came in through his window and at the same time, he left from his bed, moving over to his desk and sat down. He began to pull out his notes and open his textbook, eyeing both as he wrote down important keywords to remember. Hiyoshi felt like maybe, just maybe, he could finally complete the notes he's procrastinated on for far too long... or so he thought. He heard the sound of his phone vibrating against the table and eyed it annoyingly, hoping that would be the only time he had to hear it, but of course, it wasn't. Two, three, four vibrations later, Hiyoshi clicked his tongue and pulled his phone over, looking at the notifications in annoyance and slight surprise, but mostly annoyance when he looked over the name of the person who had to pick the perfect time to bother him. For a second, he contemplated on whether or not he should just shove his phone in a spot to silence it, but he had already found himself unlocking his phone, thinking of exactly how to respond to his current distraction.

Atobe retains the same outward appearance as at school, no doubt due to an intensive moisturising routine morning and night. His dark hair is still highlighted blond, partly to accent his blue eyes and partly because roots are common and unacceptable.

Personality: (At least one paragraph, just so we can get an idea on how you will play the character.)
Atobe was not so much born with a silver spoon in his mouth, as with three separate companies worth of metal crafting with international trading partners. Despite this, Atobe is acutely aware of the virtues of hard work and too proud to enjoy being the recipient of achievements he does not feel he personally earned. Outwardly, he gives the appearance of gliding towards the top ranks of every activity he focusses upon, but behind the scenes he puts in the long hours required for success. Atobe appears narcissistic and distant, but will go to considerable lengths to assist his friends.

Biography: (What has your character been up to in the past 6 years since canon? And what are they doing now? Where are they living?)
After graduating high school, Atobe joined Keio University to read Business and Management Studies; a course of study appropriate for the heir to the vast set of businesses that had made his family obscenely rich.

It was during his first year at the University that his course in entrepreneurship took a horrifying turn. His own family were naturally heavily mentioned in the lecture material; prime examples of drivers of innovation within Tokyo that could turn a failing businesses in auto-vehicles into a global monopoly for eyebrow sculpting. Yet, even this astounding revolution in facial hygiene had made it only second in the list of recent city successes. Two housing blocks had been bought and developed by a couple of no-names from one of the rival tennis teams to Hyoutei Academy that Atobe barely recalled, mainly because their tennis captain wasn’t Tezuka. This investment had been touted in class as a prime example of imaginative investment that went far beyond anything seen in recent years, and likely heralded a new age of business start-ups. Disturbed by the insinuation that his own family businesses might be overthrown, Atobe took the necessary step: he applied for a room in Mikiya Mansion where he could see the revolution for himself.

Atobe still plays tennis at an impressive level for someone studying full time. Sleep, after all, is for the weak.

Atobe tweaked the edge of the exquisite Persian rug that covered the main part of the room floor. It would have countered the aims of this… experiment… to extensively refurnish the room, or indeed take over the entire floor, add in servant quarters and make it suitable for acceptable human habitation. However, he was regretting not gold plating the faucets. The stainless steel did not match the sapphire stitch work of the rug.

Forcing himself to ignore these unacceptable aesthetics, Atobe settled himself at his desk and refiled the ink in his pen. From outside the room came a loud crash as if someone had attempted all the redecoration Atobe had been considering but without first vacating the occupants of the building. Alternatively, they were just extremely bad at the drums. With a painfully controlled air, Atobe wrote his title: "Entrepreneurship and How it Can Damage Society". His first paragraph would mention his ears.

Appearance: His appearance has not changed since canon. However, due to becoming more involved with boxing, he has gained more muscle than before. In addition, he's taken a liking to wearing hats - specifically snapbacks with "quirky" phrases on them. They're typically worn after an intense training session. No need to fix one's hair and impress the ladies if a hat can simply do the trick.
Personality: Sengoku has managed to mature since his youth. His exposure to opposing teams and matches has allowed him to develop in unimaginable ways. However, he maintains his playful side and flirts with others (sometimes without even realizing it). In truth, he likes being able to provide another with that kind of attention; he likes to make them feel flustered and to see their reaction. He doesn't like to be a heart breaker, but he has more potential to politely ignore someone's feelings than before. His passion for boxing and tennis come first, despite his attraction towards affection and attention. He's become more confident and on occasion, cockiness arises. It's nothing as bad as Atobe, but he's a man who believes he can get away with anything. Wouldn't you if luck was on your side?
Biography: Sengoku has started attending university in order to get his degree in Art & Design. Much of his work is inspired by supernatural aesthetics, so he often chooses to create drawings or sketches of clothing that resemble casual pieces with unique patterns. He integrates crystal designs, certain pieces inspired by tarot cards, and other mystical works. In other words, during the past 6 years, he's allowed himself to explore other interests; some of which he once never had time for. Despite his interest in the occult, he still engages in sports - specifically boxing and tennis. His interest in tennis has slightly subsided, only because he wanted to explore boxing during the usual college journey of self discovery. In the ring, he's vicious, amazing; hardly anyone can keep up - he feels like a king. While he remains a good student, he takes his social life very seriously. And by very seriously... I mean, the man likes to party and go out with his friends. During those moments, nothing matters much and he seldom has regrets. He's taking the time in college to continue learning about himself, but that can sometimes get him into trouble (poor boy's probably developed some selfish habits thanks to all that independence). He lives with a few roommates on campus as well. It could be described as a suite, but more cramped due to the shared space. However, he can't complain - he's out of the house often anyway.
RP Samples: There is much brilliance in those blues; he exudes a loud light, an eager aura, one that attracts others and yet-... He dismisses those captivating qualities, for taking his horoscope says much of his desires will be dismissed. A groan leaves lips. He had finally given himself enough time for freedom, but it seems he was destined to spend the evening alone. He searches desperately within those pages for a sign that the bad luck wouldn't last. A pity no sign of quick relief came. Maybe tomorrow, says the book...narrated by the anxious voice within his head. Seems he'll be staying up just to catch that brief favor of fortune. A smirk emerges, revealing amusement. He's found a way to cheat fate. Midnight was only hours away, but the odd time wouldn't stop him from seeking a thrill in the night. Everyone's always after him during the day, why wouldn't they make time to play at night? Perhaps he'd ask the cards if there was any bit of wisdom in those actions... Or maybe there was something exciting about divulging in something as dangerous as dismissing his deities. He'd rather let his demons lose, if only for a moment. Before he can contemplate the thought further, his phone vibrates. Eyes, just as excited, fall upon the screen. He never thought he'd find so much comfort in the call of a stranger. "Yo!" He answers so casually; as if he's known them for all eternity. The conversation is quick, but it's an invitation to escape. Perhaps this is a sign from his patron saints. Let him dismiss the words of the wise... He'll make his own luck when he leaves.

Name: Hitouji Yuuji
Journal: This one.

Appearance: Yuuji is slightly taller but he still is considered short. After a few years his eyesight got worse so he's wearing some black rimmed glasses. (which he says are not hipster) He still continues to use his trademark head bands on occasion.

Personality: At first glance he may look somewhat quiet but at the blink of an eye Yuuji can turn into a total goof-ball.He’s fun and over dramatic at times and will do pretty much anything to make someone laugh. He is a bit of a masochist and sometimes does things that he knows in the long run will kick him in the bum. When he’s not glued to the TV or watching netflix.

Biography:
Once Yuuji entered high school he continued to play tennis until he graduated. He did consider it to be fun and good chunk of his teammates would continue on. Once he graduated Yuuji decided to take a gap year and travel and broaden his horizons. He only traveled for half a year before moving to Tokyo and applying for a degree in film production at the Tokyo university of arts.

He is currently in his first year and is making ends meet by using the gift that God gave him and does voice acting for BL Drama cds using a fake name: Jitouhi Yuuma.

If anyone asks he works at a production company and pretty much does anything they ask him too.

Currently he is living at Basil Gardens.

Name: Chitose Senri

Appearance: Somehow, impossibly, even taller. He stands at a truly ludicrous ~205cm. Dressing like a hippie and attempting to not commit manslaughter with his steel geta are still part of his whole aesthetic. Sometimes he lets hair grow out and ties it back to truly complete that Real Hipster Feel. His right eye is now almost completely useless, and has clouded over just slightly - his eyesight was never the greatest anyway, so he wears glasses and/or contacts (contact?) to help.

Personality: Trying to define Chitose is like trying to solve an exceptionally irritating riddle. He's capricious, fickle, but somehow also completely at ease and free. Acting like everything is completely under control even as his own chaotic existence passes through whatever he's taken up at the time seems to be his main method of getting through life. Despite being incredibly intelligent, his lack of focus and dismissal of detail (unless it is about Specifically The Thing He Is Currently Into, in which case he will infodump accordingly) makes him unsuited to academia. He has an amazing memory, and if he tells you he has forgotten something, he probably just can't be bothered talking about it.

That all said, Chitose is actually a pretty relaxed and friendly guy in day-to-day life. He finds most kinds of people at least mildly interesting and is perfectly content holding a decent conversation, though he is a better listener than speaker. Extremely difficult to rile up, more abraisive personalities are more likely to be given a deadpan rebuttal than anything else.

Biography: High school for Chitose was a formality. His attendance back in Kumamoto improved due to the insistence of his parents, but never hit above 70%. His testing grades remained nigh-flawless regardless. He joined the school tennis team, but found shogi to be a better calling - without a partner to support him or a mysterious power to pursue, tennis fell to hobby status (though he could never truly quit).

Unable to be tied down, Tokyo seemed like a logical step for Chitose after he graduated. He tested for Todai along with Shiraishi and passed with flying colours, only to not show up for class and subsequently dropped his enrolment without a word. There are many rumours surrounding this, but the truth was he just decided it wasn't for him at the time.

What's he doing now instead? Who knows. He sure doesn't. Wandering, picking up odd jobs, painting, crashing out on friend's couches and occasionally dabbling in a new pasttime seems to be his life. Occasionally he finds a new hyperfixation and haunts libraries until satisfied with the information gain.

The only constants are his casual persistence with tennis, his habit of haunting libraries and his only known source of semi-consistent income - shogi tournaments. He registers for high-tier competitions, rolls in, sparkles his way to prize money tiers and then throws because he doesn't like the pressure of actually winning. A bunch of people in the scene suspect he isn't even real.

Did you know that lucid dreaming can be learned? The kind where you can control your actions in your subconscious as you sleep. It's pretty fun, but if you fuck it up it's like misusing a superpower. Visions of horrible things, painful itches that you can't scratch, hallucinations. I mean, sleep paralysis can affect anyone, but trying to induce lucid dreaming gives it a higher chance. Like video game rules. And you can come out of it feeling like the horrors have followed you.

Name: Tanegashima Shuuji

Appearance: He's lost the last of his baby fat so his face is a bit leaner, but otherwise the same.
Personality:
Tanegashima Shuuji (born Tanegashima Hisamichi) is the eldest son and future head of the Tanegashima clan famous for opening trade between Honshu and the southern islands. Despite coming from prestigious roots and old money, Shuuji lives a carefree lifestyle far away from his home island of Tanegashima. He rarely visits his family due to the time it takes by cruise ship to get there and the fact that he refuses to go by plane due to losing the genetic lottery with his sinuses and ears (though nothing else). He, of course, doesn't bother to mention any of this to even his closest friends unless directly asked, which means most of his personal life and backstory is a mystery even to those who know him "best." They know he: 1) is from "an island in the south," and 2) "he doesn't do planes."

He speaks fluent English (with an American accent) from his time living on Tanegashima and being exposed to both English and Chinese-speaking natives. His grandmother is Chinese and the cook of his family, so he cooks mostly Chinese food for himself at home and is also speaks and writes Mandarin conversationally. He has been living in an apartment on his own since the U-17 camp so he has developed independence.

Under all of his jokes and irreverence is genuine kindness. He has the qualities of a natural leader and is always looking out for others, even if it seems like he is goofing off.

Biography:
Shuuji is now (about to be in 21 days) 24 year old eligible bachelor living in a high rise apartment in Tokyo.

Due to his family background, he has never really thought about money and his parents have always provided everything for him. He isn't spoiled by it, per se, but isn't really in touch with reality about what things cost and what is excessive or not. For spending money, he has been modeling for Men's Non-No professionally, but is starting to branch out into doing commercials, print advertisements.

He chose not to pursue university or tennis, but he still plays on a world-class level due to his natural gifts. In his free time, he volunteers with a youth 10 & Under tennis program teaching beginner tennis players ages 6-10 a sport for life.

RP Samples:
May is both the best and worst month when you are Tanegashima Shuuji. On the one hand, it is his birthday month, and his birthday was the same day as many important holidays such as National Paper Clip Day, National Biscuit Day, Learn About Composting Day, and most importantly, National Put Your Pillow in the Fridge Day. But on the other hand, May was also the month when the weather was nice during the day and absolutely freezing in the mornings and late evenings. Well, freezing for a beach-loving water baby like Shuuji, anyway.

He wrapped himself completely in his favorite throw blanket (a stitched Totoro blanket with a sherpa lining) and briefly contemplated bringing the kotatsu back out of the closet. May was an acceptable time to still be using a kotatsu... right?

Appearance: Yukari has grown up since she was 13, now turning 19 this summer. She still rocks her signature pigtails for her curly hair. She is very athletic and physically strong. She does not paint the perfect slender Japanese girl figure due to her strong legs and arms.

Personality: Yukari is cheerful and optimistic but has a sardonic sense of humor. She is always polite, but also extremely familiar, with her senpai from Shitenhouji. She is close with her brother, "Ku-chan," and thinks he's a giant dork no matter how cool other people might think he is.

She likes to look cute no matter what she is doing and won't buy anything other than name-brand athletic clothing. She has a sponsorship from Wilson for her tennis gear which helps keep that cost down, otherwise she would be eating instant noodles every night.

She enjoys baking, specifically trying to perfect the art of baking cake. She is the sort to give homemade chocolates to every boy she knows on Valentine's Day just because she spent so many hours trying to get the perfect recipe that she has a lot of "failures" (which are all delicious, just don't match her standard of perfection).

Outside of baking and tennis, Yukari is game for anything at all that gets her outside and active... and she'll always look cute doing it.

Biography:
Yukari attended Shitenhouji for both junior high and high school and was the star of the girls' tennis team. As a first year in university, she made the cut for Toudai's tennis team in women's singles, but has yet to find the perfect mixed doubles partner (she's taking applications, guys!) She gave consideration to going pro, but the odds of making it pro are astronomically stacked against the player, particularly when Serena just won't retire and keeps winning Grand Slams.

She has just recently moved in to Basil Gardens at the start of this school year. She is studying Pharmaceuticals at Toudai and is generally a good student, just a somewhat distracted one.

RP Samples:
You are a grown-ass woman, Yukari reminded herself, her hand hesitating over the stuffed Stitch. Her brother won it for her at Round 1 when they were kids - it wasn't a particularly high-quality plush toy, none of the UFO catchers ever were, but she had dragged it around for years and it had more sentimental value than anything else.

She took one last look around her room, already second guessing her decision that she had made after hundreds of hours of studying to make the cut for the competitive Pharmaceuticals program, thousands of hours on court, blood, sweat, and tears to make the Toudai tennis team, an interview and essay to be accepted... yet here she was, in the last hour, second guessing herself.

Her fingers tightened on the Stitch and she shoved the plush into her tennis bag. If her roommate asked about it, she could just say that she brought it to give it to her brother who can't sleep without a stuffed animal, or something.

Name: Tachibana Kippei

Appearance: It was a sudden decision to cut his hair and dye it back to its natural color. It was a personal decision born out of his desire to atone for Chitose’s injury, and it lent well in his transition from Kumamoto to Tokyo. However, once he dyed it back to blond in his third year of middle school, he realized that he felt like he had lost a piece of his identify and subsequently decided that he would grow it out once more.

Nowadays his hair is back to the blond mane as it was when he went to Shishigaku, minus the dark roots as those were best left in middle school. He will pull it back if it’s just getting in his way, but usually he just leaves it as is.

Otherwise, he’s still a pretty big, imposing dude physically who may sport stern looks, but smiles easily.

Personality: If there is one thing to be said for Tachibana, it’s that his loyalty to those he cares for is unshakeable; he will stop at nothing to ensure they’re happy and cared for, and so help the person who goes so far as to touch a single hair on any of their heads. That said, you can assume that if you’ve played a part in Tachibana’s life, whether major as in a teammate or minor as in you played a match together once in middle school, the same loyalty will be extended to you. He will call you by your first name, he is the one-man birthday council who will throw a birthday party for everyone in order to recognize their special day, and he isn’t shy about letting his natural Kumamoto-dialect shine through his verbal communication.

Despite the fact that he is boisterous and very much of the attitude stick it to the man when he sees injustice (especially if it means others will be better for it), he is very respectful and will keep everyone in line so as to not cause a ruckus. (Which is not to say that Tachibana isn’t down for a bit of ruckus himself; but there is a time and a place for it.)

He’s the sort of person who always has a million and one side projects going on. You can talk to him one week and he’ll tell you about this great idea he had for a catering business, and the next week he’ll be talking about how the menu has been developed for the catering and he’s working on a couple of designs for a new fashion line. If you need volunteers, he will be the first to raise his hand - and use his charisma and leadership abilities to convince others to help out, too.

Although his physical appearance often paints him as a yankee, it couldn’t be further from the truth. He will carry the groceries and help an elderly person cross the street or save a drowning kitten from a river. He understands that his physical appearance doesn’t always lend well to someone who is a well adjusted adult, but he’s not changing it for anything.

Biography: Upon graduating Fudoumine and feeling satisifed that he had left an imprint with his underclassmen, he ultimately chose to attend Seigaku for high school. He felt the values were in line with what were important to him, and he had enjoyed spending the time cheering Seigaku on in their victory in Nationals the year prior. He ultimately became captain with his desire to continue Tezuka’s legacy, and came to care deeply for his teammates.

When it came time to choose what university he wished to apply to, he was torn between returning home to Kyushu and attending a university there or ultimately stayng in the Kantou area that had become his home over those five years. While the draw of the beach was difficult to pass up, he felt as though the wind was gently pulling him in another direction, and that he would be much happier being nearer those he cared for. It just so happened that he learned Chitose was testing for Toudai, which was all the more reason to stay. And he wouldn’t want to leave his sister behind, either.

He wound up selecting Toudai mainly because it was a school that accepted him, and he wasn’t particularly picky about where he went. While he set out to study business and entrepreneurship, he takes classes that offer variety and skills that could go toward his future endeavors. While he continues to play tennis at the collegiate level, he does so because he wants to continue to grow players, not because he feels particlarly competitive. He got himself a small apartment with the intention of always having an open couch for anyone (but namely one particular person with the way he wanders) should they need to just get away.

The red pen scratched out names from the month of April as his hand passed over each square marked with a name and a raised, puffy sticker of a birthday cake. While the original intention for the wall calendar was to keep track of where he needed to be when, An’s important dates, and exams, he had been using it as a means to track birthdays in an effort to stay on top of planning parties. It was his firm belief that everyone should be given the opportunity to have a day just for them, and if he could play a part to ensure that, well, then it needed to be done.

His hand paused on the square marked May 21st. While Sanada seemed to keep mostly in Kanagawa, Tachibana was certain that he could draw him out… especially if he invited Tezuka to help with some of the planning. Yanagi… Yukimura, too. He picked up his phone to start typing a group message.

CHARACTER
Name: Oshitari Kenya

Appearance: Not much has changed about Kenya from canon. He filled out a little bit, but he’s still got the body of a runner, lanky and slender. You will have to pry the bleach out from his dead, cold hands, so there won’t be a return of chestnut-hair Kenya any time soon.

Personality: Kenya hasn’t changed much from middle school. He’s still full of energy, bubbly, and is always down for a little friendly competition - in particular if it means that he gets to show off how fast he really is.

He’s very easy to rile up, and he won’t back down from a challenge. If you challenge him to eating a spicy bowl of ramen in three minutes, he’s on it. He has a tendency to collect things, namely small, cute erasers that are carefully packed in organized containers (colors, and designs, and animals, and weather, and foods, and… the list goes on), and Hello Kitty memoriabilia from the various places he’s travelled around the country over the years.

Family is important to him. He’s been close to Yuushi his whole life and has struggled with separation anxiety, in particular after Yuushi moved away in middle school. The impending stress of school and feeling like the chance of failure or disappointing the family was high left him feeling a little anxious over pursuing his medical degree, but overall he doesn’t have the time to dwell on it between being with his cousin and friends, studying, and keeping focused on his physical activities.

Ultimately he’s a fun-loving person who you can’t take anywhere for his fashion sense is rather… interesting at best.

Biography: In true Oshitari fashion, Kenya knew that it was expected that he would one day pursue an education in medicine. Despite the feeling of heavy family obligations, he did have the genuine desire to pursue pediatrics, and so it didn’t really require much of a stretch of the imagination that he would follow the path laid out for him. While in his late-second year of Shitenhouji for high school, he realized that he was going to have to get started if he had any chance of getting in the competitive medicine program.

So as to not be ~that cousin~, he had always assumed that he too would enroll in Handai, cry lots of tears and drink many beers through medical school, and then hopefully enter the workforce a prepared man for the real world of a practicing pediatritian. However, it was when he began to study for the Handai entrance exams (catching an early start on tears and beers), when Yuushi announced that he was pursuing nursing school in Tokyo instead. Despite the gentle suggestions from his parents and his brother’s insistance that he was going to be a failure of an Oshitari if he followed the footsteps of Yuushi, Kenya decided that he didn’t want to go through university without his favorite cousin and completely changed his focus to enter medical school in Tokyo instead. It was entirely by coincidence that Shiraishi also intended on moving to Tokyo, but it made the transition easier to have his best friend nearby.

So as to not leave Yuushi all alone in his family home, when Kenya moved to Tokyo to attend Toudai, he moved in with Yuushi. It was free rent and it allowed plenty of space for Speedy to roam around (and she loved the sunny spot that was in what used to be Aunty’s bedroom). As to be expected, through many tears and beers he somehow managed to make it to his third year without dropping out (miraculously). In an effort to keep himself sane, he took up a spot on the tennis team because he can’t sit still for more than five seconds, and his favorite place to go running is near Mikiya because the off chance he can bug Zaizen.

As of Winter break, Kenya and Yukari started a relationship that is kept super, super on the down low, and while the distance sucked and now they're closer together, there is a whole new set of complications that come in the form of absolutely-not-going-to-tell-big-brothers-slash-best-friends.

Not that I’m counting down the days. Never. Why would I be doing that? It certainly wouldn’t be because I’m ~~REALLY OVER UNIVERSITY~~ excited for the tennis season to start in earnest, right? Right. That’d be silly.

Someone come save me from the mound of textbooks that are taking up ~~MY ENTIRE BED~~ my room. Eventually Speedy’s gonna have to stay in Yuushi’s room. Sorry, ‘cuz. Well, actually, not really. She loves you just as much as she loves me. ♥

Name: Marui Bunta
Journal: Probably this one.

Appearance: His hair is shorter now and frequently pushed back in a hairband for practicalities sake, particularly on days where he has classes. His ears are pierced, and he never did quite reach much more of a height after high school, measuring up to 167cm. Still, he is as handsome as ever and the boy knows it.

Personality: Bunta likes to think that he’s matured a little, now that he’s graduated and moved away from home. Truth be told, he hasn’t actually changed all that much. He’s still the vibrant Tensei he’s always considered himself to be. Having worked out in the real world for a year and having missed a lot of his friends that moved away, he’s eager to socialize again. He’s always been able to make friends with just about anyone, this wouldn’t be any different. Right?

Biography: Unsure what he wanted to do after graduation, Marui took a year out. He knew he didn’t want to pursue Tennis, maybe English? He had always been good with languages… he just couldn’t decide. Feeling stuck, Marui moped about at home for a few weeks, binging himself on sweets before his mother kicked him out with threats to find a job or else.

He found a part time position as a waiter for a few months. He quickly moved up to assisting in the kitchen, the café discovering and utilizing his talent for it and it was there that he’d found his niche. It was so obvious, why didn’t he think of it before?? For the last few months he found another job in a nearby bakery, honing the passion he had always had for baking cakes. And now the time had come. He had applied and been accepted to Hattori Nutritional College for a diploma in Culinary Patisserie & Boulangerie. Now he just needed somewhere to live.

Was Basil House still taking renters?

RP Samples: Marui snored softly, his head leaning in the crook of his own elbow, having dropped into his seat like a ton of bricks and flung an arm over his face to block out the light the minute he’d sat down in the train car. You couldn’t blame him, he was exhausted! The culinary classes sure were intense. Fantastic but so fast paced. It left him completely bushed by the end of the day. Luckily at this time of the evening it wasn’t too busy, long past rush hour and the time that he’d gotten on.

It was with a jolt of the track that the redhead finally awoke, his arm slipping off the seat next to him to snap him back to the waking world. Ah. He looked around blearily as the speaker announced a station way past his own stop. Ah crap it happened again. Rubbing his eyes, he pulled himself to his feet and exited onto the platform, resigning himself to having missed his station for the 40th time.

A few seconds later, loud cursing was heard as he darted back onto the train to grab his forgotten backpack before the train left.

Name: Aragaki Koichi

Appearance: A lot taller, around 177cm now. The sun has brought out all his freckles and where his hair used to be in a bowl cut, its now rather standard looking, cut short in the back, with a long fringe. His freckles are probably the most striking thing about him now, though he is slightly self conscious about them as they weren’t nearly as obvious when he was younger. His skin is tanned, and he is toned from continuing to practise martial arts and tennis.
Personality: Aragaki is a very patient person, you kind of have to be to deal with the teammates he has had over the years. He’s one of the softer ex-higas, having a kind side that comes out with both people and animals. He’s loyal to a fault, the only time he will ever act out in aggression is in defense of someone he holds dear, throwing everything out the window to confront what is hurting them. Otherwise he is a little shy, a little more hesitant to come out of his shell. But when he smiles, it’s infectious, lighting up the whole room.

Biography: After his teammates all graduated into High School, Aragaki was left behind to Captain the tennis team. All things considered, he did a pretty good job, leading it without the feeling of a threat that Kite had lead his team with.
After high school, he started university in Okinawa studying politics. His father was a politician and he had been sure that he would follow in his footsteps. But he found it wasn’t quite jelling with him, wasn’t quite what he wanted to do. Deciding to switch majors sooner rather than later, the only way his family would be willing to let him pay attendance for another university would be if he went to one of much higher standing.
So here he is now, attending Keio for social studies. He has a lot to catch up on but he is studious, he will manage it. His goal is to return to Okinawa to be a social worker and help out in a less political standing. Help people with their problems more directly than through politics. He is a little hesitant at being in Tokyo, he’s never lived this far from home before and he is already feeling homesick. But Rin and Kite are here. It’ll be fine. Right?

RP Samples: Aragaki smiled at his phone, well wishes spamming him from his friends back in Okinawa, from both high and middle school teams too. He thumbed at the screen to bring the clock up closer so he could check the time for his flight. All according to plan, he was on time, he hadn’t forgotten his passport. It was all good. He ignored the butterflies in his stomach to glance around for somewhere to get some grub.

He didn’t have to look far, a head taller than the crowd that passed by in front of him, he dodged some kids that were getting far too boisterous in their playing and ducked into a small cafe. His stomach rumbled as the smell of freshly baked cookies and drip coffee hit his nose and he was quick to get in line for the counter.

Awww they had giant marshmallow cookies in the shape of bunnies. He kind of had to get some. It would absolutely be in honor of Usagi, who he’d left back home with his parents to look after. He didn’t think she’d appreciate the trip after all, and he wouldn’t be allowed to keep her anywhere anyway. Usagi was his pet rabbit. If it wasn’t already obvious.

Purchases in hand, he strode over to a newly vacated seat, dropping down into it before anyone else could nab it. Aw man, now he was feeling guilty for no reason. He had a while before his flight would even be called okay and in this busy airport, he was going to take what sitting space he could get. With a quiet sigh, he took out his phone again, taking a sip of his coffee and scrolling through the messages once more.

CHARACTER
Name: Oshitari Yuushi

Appearance: Oshitari is a little bit taller (182cm) and a little heavier (it's lean muscle). His hair is still long (but in a more flattering cut). The glasses have stayed because he's gotten so used to them, however, they are more on trend now.

Personality: Oshitari tends to stay fairly nonplussed about most situations, but it doesn't stop him from enjoying the occasional (read: often) romantic comedy. Due to his interest in such things, he has a slight tendency to read into things and make assumptions about people's relationships. He means well, truly.

Biography: After graduating from Hyoutei, Oshitari enrolled in Tokyo's Medical and Dental University despite his grandfather's wishes to attend med school in Osaka. How could he go back when his dearest, most precious cousin was now living in Tokyo?! Someone had to keep an eye on Kenya, after all, and it might as well be him. In the evenings, Oshitari can be heard on the college radio from 10pm to midnight doling out relationship advice.

RP Samples: I should have been studying, but I got distracted by Love, Simon. It was an absolutely darling film. Far more interesting than anatomy, in any case. If you haven't watched it, please do. I'll even watch it with you. We could make a date of it and I'll make us popcorn.

Afterwards, I went for a run and got distracted again by a gorgeous woman. Truly, the day was not made for studying. And neither will Saturday, as I have a date with the lovely Eriko-chan. (ღ˘⌣˘ღ)

CHARACTER
Name: Atobe Keigo
Journal: crosswithyou
Appearance: His appearance hasn’t changed significantly, he wears his hair a tiny bit longer, but point of note I’m going off manga and game canon: he has blonde hair. For the sake of explanation, his mother is British and blonde hair/blue eyed like Keigo. His father is Japanese and has dark hair and eyes.

Personality: Atobe comes across as a self-absorbed, show-boating, peacock, but this is largely just for that - show. Upon moving to Japan, Atobe knew that he was going to stand out due to his foreign blood that blessed him with blonde hair and blue eyes and the fact that he had spent the past few years of his life in England and thus had not been in the Japanese school system and would be in some ways behind. Having endured a fair amount of bullying at his primary school in England, he decided the best way to overcome being labeled as “different” (drawing a target on his back for bullies) would be to become “exceptional.” So he took a hard swing of the pendulum and declared himself King of Hyoutei on his first day of school.

There is no one on this planet that works harder for self-improvement than Atobe. Atobe holds the personal qualities of perseverance and strong work ethic in high regard and has very little patience for people who easily give in and don’t work to better themselves.

Now that he is no longer on a strict school schedule, he has reverted to his natural state of being the absolute antithesis of a morning person. He begrudgingly rises at 7am because that is what is required of him by the rest of humanity to be a member of society, but only if there is coffee. There is probably has more coffee in his body than water at this point.

At heart, Keigo is generous and fiercely loyal. Once you are “in” with him, you are set for life. However, if you end up on his bad side, you are never going to get him to drop the grudge. He doesn’t bother hiding his contempt from those he dislikes, nor hide his affection from those he cares for. He can be at times aloof, but despite how he likes to think of himself, his passionate nature makes him an open book.

Biography: Though Atobe continued to enjoy tennis through his high school career, his studies began to take a front seat as he prepared to return to England following graduation. Since he did not have any University entrance exams to worry about, he spent any extra time not in class or training for tennis taking classes for university credit to get as much of his general education requirements for his undergraduate degree done before he graduated high school. His social life suffered for it, becoming more illusive in his high school years as he doubled down on his self-improvement and education.

He graduated Hyoutei in March of 2016 and was on a plane a few weeks later to begin classes at Oxford in the third trimester (April 22nd, 2016). He loaded his schedule with the maximum number of credits his advisor would allow, pushing himself at the same breakneck pace he maintained in high school. He was in the graduating class of Summer, 2018 with his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a focus on Finance having completed two and a half years of university at Oxford along with completing his general education prior to leaving Japan.

He is moving back to Tokyo and into a condo he owns near Todai’s campus and is beginning an internship at his father’s company beginning in October. He has been away for a few years and even before he left he was not as present as he would have liked to have been with his busy schedule. Uprooted for the third time in his life, and not really interested in making friends in the business world beyond necessary connections, he is weaseling his way back into the old tennis group.

CHARACTER

Appearance:
Even though he’s frequently having to change up his hair color and style for his different jobs, he generally sticks to blond when he can. He’s recently gone under the knife for a nose-job, and has undergone a double lid surgery somewhere in his late teens, though so far all of his procedures have been on the subtle side.

Personality:
As a new money trust fund baby, Kimijima has grown up more or less free to enjoy whatever privileges he wants to so long as he wouldn’t do anything that might reflect negatively on his father’s reputation. Consequently, Kimijima comes in three vastly different flavors which he generally avoids mixing up.

The first and by far most likely side of him most people ever get to see is his cool, ‘refreshing’ idol persona, a friendly, generally positive public figure who is patient with fans and generally very clean and scandal-repellent.

The second one is his negotiator face, more likely to come out in private. As the former negotiator of the courts, Kimijima is generally well-prepared to make things run smoothly and leave all parties feeling like they’re coming out the winner. When he has his mind set on a specific outcome, he will put an immense amount of effort into ensuring things work out, often with the use of his many and varied connections.

The third is his more honest and especially private side, a sly, sarcastic and somewhat bitter individual who is rarely short on things to complain about or to criticise. Kimijima values his appearance above almost all else and is somewhat of an opportunist where he sees the chance, but his focus on work has also socially isolated him somewhat over the years.

Biography:
After graduating from short-term assignments into his first larger role, Kimijima had to own up to the realisation that juggling his advertisement campaign contracts, his idol career and his tennis career was becoming too much. Even though tennis was a very strong temptation, ultimately pragmatism won out and he chose to focus on his already successful idol career.

Doubling down on cementing his reputation as a clean, cool idol, he chose to pursue and finished an online degree (though he is evasive on saying in what, exactly) in to maintain the flexibility needed with his schedule. Recently he has broken away from a temporary idol boy group he sang in to focus more on his acting.

He lives in a spacious high-rise apartment in Minato, in a building owned by his father, and very actively maintains an Instagram, Twitter and a blog on his agency’s domain for publicity.

Well isn’t this nostalgic✨? Shuuji convinced me to give Dreamwidth a try, since a bunch of our cute juniors from the U-17 camp appear to have set up camp here. It’s certainly more intimate than a promotional blog.

CHARACTER
Name: Niou Masaharu
Journal:

Appearance: Probably the biggest change is that Niou has learned a few tips and tricks from hair and makeup artists over the years; he looks more put together on a day to day basis, more photo-ready should anyone care to snap his picture. Despite what many believe, his ash blonde hair and bright blue eyes are naturally like that thanks to a melanin deficiency that runs in the family. He’s become somewhat well known for the rat tail hairstyle, though these days his hair is properly grown out to be longer - he simply styles it that way now. He oh-so-lovingly refers to it as “rattie.”

His eyeliner game is strong for it accentuates his pretty eyes and he is never without a spark of mischief that makes you wonder if you ever truly know what he’s thinking.

Personality: To tie down Niou is like herding cats. He’s mercurial and mischievous, and despite how many try to prove this wrong, he’s very particular with who he allows near his heart. As a result, there are very few people in the world who truly get to see Niou for who he really is, and really this suits him just fine. Those who are important know who they are.

He is very much about smoke and mirrors - never letting people know his true intentions or motivations. He enjoys watching the little cogs turn in people’s minds as they try to understand, and he does everything in such a disjointed manner that even the most intelligent of minds would become dizzy.

Biography: “The South” was about as specific as Niou would ever get about his hometown. People thought he said that to be mysterious or to keep an epic secret or simply because he was a pain in the ass. In reality, while yes it was all those things too, it was actually because he bounced between Kyushu and Shikoku as a kid. But, it did give him the excuse to fuck around with the dialects he spoke and the bemusement he received was entertaining as shit - misdirection, after all, was his forte.

It was his genius-like mathematical brain (and most certainly not the fantastic test scores) that got him into Rikkai, but he quickly made a name of himself as one of the star tennis players. School was never really a priority of him, passing certain subjects with ease and putting exactly zero effort into others, but just like the others of his year, tennis was his life. Ultimately, fourteen was a life altering year. His memories are a mixed bag, everything from euphoria to feeling like shit on the bottom of a shoe, and he never did quite recover emotionally from going through the experience with Yukimura. Somehow he was at the top of his tennis game, but he also neglected taking care of himself, never went home, and survived off barely nothing but convenience store bentou. Despite this, the growth he experienced far outweighed the shit, and ultimately in the end it was for the best even if the habit of wandering around like a stray cat never truly ebbed.

Since he didn’t have to bother with exams, he entered Rikkai’s University without any real direction for his studies. He joined a theatre class for shits and giggles because it would be an easy way to get some credits. When the class was approached about performing something for the school’s culture festival, while his classmates began excitedly preparing for all they could do, Niou decided to break off and do something on his own. Somehow, the school agreed - probably because they didn’t really know how else to respond.

He personally choreographed and wrote the song that he performed in front of the entire school, poking fun at a tennis match from that life altering third year paved way to the rest of his high performance tennis career. The crowd loved it - so much that he made a bit of a name for himself, and had the theatre department clambering to find a way they could incorporate his abilities into more school performances.

Not long after his second term at school had concluded, he was approached by a representative of Bang!Entertainment, who was very interested in seeing more. In a series of interesting encounters, interviews, and contracts, he found himself swept up in the entertainment industry. All the reasons why it was a terrible idea - he couldn’t sing, he had a terrible personality, his posture was terrible, amongst others - also became the reason people came to love it. Even so, nobody’s still quite sure what to call him - an idol, model (he’s game to do basically just about anything), an actor - other than by his stage name, “NI-OH.”

When the demands on him for work became a bit much, he fell just short of dropping out of school, switching to studies very part time so he could focus more seriously on what other possibilities he could explore to effectively paste his face across all of Tokyo.

CHARACTER
Name: Shiraishi Kuranosuke

Appearance: No major changes. He does still wear the bandage (no golden gauntlet under it) when he is performing as part of his trademark look. The ash blonde hair is natural, if unusual.

Personality: Shiraishi has always been the reliable, calm sort. He is generally level-headed and really only shows his darker side when he believes that someone is not living up to their full potential. He has been known to have a nasty way of expressing his opinions when someone disappoints him.

Shiraishi can’t help but take in strays… which is how he has ended up with his cat Angel that lives with him in his apartment. Angel followed him home from Handai’s campus one day, which he decided was clearly fate and he took her in. When he is stressed, lonely, or tired, he takes great comfort in Angel.

Shiraishi is the type that would take a two-hour train ride out to the countryside just to buy his rice directly from the farm rather than going to the store. He eats a relatively clean diet and is conscious of what he is putting in his body, but he won’t say no to midnight McDonald’s run, either. He is also particular about his beer, preferring expensive import craft beers over anything on the Japanese market.

He is a bargain hunter and 99% of his clothing comes from Uniqlo, though you would not know it from his stylish way of dressing. He enjoys going to antique stores and Daiso to look for good deals. He has a few interesting knick-knacks around his apartment that he picked up from his most recent visit to the antique store.

He is very close with his family, particularly his two sisters. Being the lone boy with two sisters growing up, he has been put through the ringer by his sisters but they mean the world to him.

As he grows in popularity as an idol, he uses his increasing fame as a platform to openly advocate for LGBT and women’s rights which has gotten him into trouble once or twice with his agency. Unfortunately, when he believes something wholeheartedly, he can’t keep from speaking his mind.

Biography: Shiraishi continued on at Shitenhouji for high school. He continued to play on the tennis team, eventually stepping in as captain once more. After high school, he went on to Handai for university where he played on the tennis team and studied Chemistry with the eventual intention of becoming a science teacher… until his life took a sideways turn.

Shiraishi was scouted by a talent agency for his charm and good looks, only for them to find out he also has a beautiful singing voice and is a proficient dancer. He has had a quick rise to fame, his success built on his natural talents and the hard work he has put in to his idol career. However, he found that he could not balance work with being on the tennis team and going to traditional classes, so he has since left Handai to pursue correspondence school. He is now moving to Tokyo for the filming of his new show Star Debut where he has been offered his first leading role in a drama.

He named his idol persona “Kurarin” after the nickname given to him by Konjiki Koharu when they were in middle school.
