His lunge turned into a diving slide, the linoleum floor working blissfully in his favour - the lack of traction gave him just enough momentum to propel him right into the falling pancake's path.
It landed with a smack right on Akaya's face. Working his jaw, he managed to snag one end in his teeth, flipping the hot thing off of his nose and into his mouth.
"Ow," he said, voice muffled through his gritted teeth.
