What: Akaya's Victory Party
When: Saturday, April 21st
Where: Akaya's apartment, and then a club a short train ride away
Rating: Please keep it PG-13

Join in for an evening of belated celebration! The party starts with an oh so black and yellow surprise party at Akaya's apartment for eating, drinking, and mingling. Those who still want to enjoy the night can venture on to the club afterparty (accessible to all ages), where there will be games and dancing.

See below for details. Characters can PM or text Zaizen to be let in at whatever stage they wish to join.

NOTE: For ease of play, do not worry about chronology. Tag wherever strikes your fancy! If it is on a section after PARTY -- SURPRISE, assume that Akaya has already been surprised and everything is already decorated in bee-themed glory.

Sanada took the racket from Kirihara and examined the horrifying monstrosity in front of him. "I think it needs more force," He said. He then took an experimental swing of the flimsy racket through the air and frowned at it. He wasn't sure it would survive any of his special moves against the green monster. Perhaps if he turned it on its side he could use it more as a sword and strike.

Doing so, he moved closer to the hanging pinata and with a yell attacked it. He added a dent to the creature but the racket also broke cleanly in two with a resounding crack. Hmm, that did not go quite as planned.

"Ah, wait, fukubuchou-" Akaya started to say, but was too late. The echo of the breaking racket rang in his ears for a second before he walked up and gingerly raised the top half, now dangling precariously from the cheap hollow strings.

The pinata almost seemed to turn towards them, taunting. "Maybe we can use the broken bits to stab it," Akaya suggested. How tough had the Fudomines made that thing?

Noticing that someone was watching and that they were likely filming it, Sanada hastily plucked the broken top half of the racket from Kirihara and held both parts behind his back feeling a little guilty. "Surely they have more wimpy plastic ones to use..." Who would just bring one cheap toy racket to whack an indestructible monster with?

"It's not technically cheating if you're still using the tools provided." That said, Akaya relinquished the destroyed racket to Sanada and shot ineffectual daggers at Zaizen. He held his hands up to indicate for them to wait as he skittered off to his room to (unwisely) fetch a practice racket. It was a cheaper-end one, but certainly more solid than the now-useless hundred-yen toy.

There was a pause when Akaya returned. "I think it's s'posed to be someone else's turn, but..." Raising the racket, he wound up for a smash that met the false goya dead-on with a mighty smack... and no physical breakage. "What the hell!"

While Kirihara had run off, Sanada took the chance to hastily stash the broken racket in one of the garbages that had been set up around the apartment to encourage people to use them. He was back with plenty of time to see Kirihara brandish a much more suitable instrument for defeating the green monstrosity.

When the hard hit didn't even seem to the phase the thing, Sanada frowned. "Huh... Have you been skipping your weight training?" Sanada asked as he took the racket from Kirihara and got a feel for it in his hands.
