What: Akaya's Victory Party
When: Saturday, April 21st
Where: Akaya's apartment, and then a club a short train ride away
Rating: Please keep it PG-13

Join in for an evening of belated celebration! The party starts with an oh so black and yellow surprise party at Akaya's apartment for eating, drinking, and mingling. Those who still want to enjoy the night can venture on to the club afterparty (accessible to all ages), where there will be games and dancing.

See below for details. Characters can PM or text Zaizen to be let in at whatever stage they wish to join.

NOTE: For ease of play, do not worry about chronology. Tag wherever strikes your fancy! If it is on a section after PARTY -- SURPRISE, assume that Akaya has already been surprised and everything is already decorated in bee-themed glory.

Arrive to the party before Akaya returns and help put things up! Or supervise whatever black-yellow-and-shiny monstrosity comes to life in the otherwise normal apartment.

Kamio arrived quickly, per usual, but perhaps not as quickly as he could have without the balloons and daiso decorations he was currently setting up. Yellow and black balloons adorned with googly eyes floated up toward the ceiling as Kamio attempted to unwind streamers, but only succeeded in tangling himself up in them.

"Crap," he shook his arms and legs to no avail. The shiniest streamer quite stubbornly clung to his limbs.

With a few bags of homemade goodies in tow An had arrived early than she had expected. Either way she was sure they'd be needing help with somethings like decorations.

Noticing Kamio she let out a light laugh as she placed her bag on the kitchen counter, "Need some help there?"

Yanagi arrived slightly earlier the pre-determined time to lure Akaya out of his apartment so everyone could prepare. Now he just had to wait for his friends, and then all they would have to do was keep Akaya distracted until the party. Yanagi already had a prime destination in mind.

Yukimura sent a text to Kirihara with tennis y/y as he walked up to Yanagi. He was pretty sure he wouldn't get a no, but he also hadn't provided that as a possible answer.

"Hey," Yukimura said once he got close enough for Yanagi to hear him. "Message sent. I should get a freak out text soon."

"Hello Seiichi," Yanagi greeted with a nod. "Just one more person left to wait for, then." Sanada would probably show up momentarily. He was rarely late.

After receiving a message that the Troika crew was five minutes away with their special delivery, Zaizen busted a couple bags of green ping pong balls and started handing them out. "To throw at our guest of honor when he walks in," Zaizen explained flatly as he passed them out. "Or at Yukimura-san, Sanada-san, or Yanagi-san, if you're feeling daring."

Hiyoshi stared at the green ping pong ball he was given before looking back up at Zaizen, looking both confused and concerned. "I'm still not entirely sure as to why you chose ping pong balls instead of something that makes sense, like silly string or party poppers or whatever."

A humble spread of sweets, chips, popcorn, and pizza boxes takes up whatever portion of the divider counter that counter isn’t overcome by Akaya’s favorite cheap beer and a few bottles of different liquors. Feel free to add more delights!

Pulling the kaarage and assortment of cookies An laid them down in their respective areas and smiled. Hopefully she had made enough.

She had actually tried to make bee cookies but they ended up not looking very much like bees at all and more like deformed fish. After that incident she decided to keep it simple and make a few flavors instead of decorating.

Looking to the drinks she raised an eyebrow at the so called beer that Kirihara liked to drink. If she tried it , it would be more like a science experiment. What to do~?

Niou really did dislike parties. Especially in small places. Thankfully this early into the gathering, it wasn't that bad and he meandered over to the food area when he spotted An. "Hi Batman-chan, you came out of your cave?" Niou said, picking up a bottle of beer. It was... really shit stuff and he sighed as he fished out his keys from his pocket to open it. Maybe he should give his kouhai a lesson on decent beer at some point. "And with many baked goods for Akaya. Gosh golly, I didn't realise you liked him so much."

PARTY -- PINATA

Akira and Shinji have designed a candy-stuffed pinata fit for tennis players. It is shaped like a goya in honor of Kite (because reasons), but don’t be fooled; beneath the green is a thick, protective layer of duct tape. Good luck busting it open with the hyaku-en racket!

Naturally Akaya gravitated toward the green thing literally hanging over his head. It took some time to figure out what it was, but when he finally understood, the cheap racket basically teleported into his hand.

He gave it a softer, experimental knock with the frame before grinning and taking a powerful swing at the front end-!! Only to have the duct tape do its job, resulting only in a minor tear in the surface.

"Huh," Akaya said intelligently. He looked around for the person to pass the racket off to for the second swing.

Sanada took the racket from Kirihara and examined the horrifying monstrosity in front of him. "I think it needs more force," He said. He then took an experimental swing of the flimsy racket through the air and frowned at it. He wasn't sure it would survive any of his special moves against the green monster. Perhaps if he turned it on its side he could use it more as a sword and strike.

Doing so, he moved closer to the hanging pinata and with a yell attacked it. He added a dent to the creature but the racket also broke cleanly in two with a resounding crack. Hmm, that did not go quite as planned.

PARTY -- MARIO KART

Akaya’s system is set up with four controllers for people to trade out playing Mario Kart. Take a seat on the couch, or one of the many cushions sown about, and enjoy.

A small display of cupcakes is sitting on the coffee table, once everyone is around to watch Marui attempt to blow out his (secretly) trick candle.

The lights are down and beat is good! Join the throng of partiers making the most of the evening and the skilled DJ.

Parties are meant to be preserved; he doesn't want nights like these to end, even as his enthusiasm escalates. There's just something powerful about being around so many people. They bring out a sense of life that other situations deprive him of, so he treats the evening as an escape. The moment he hears the music, his body instinctively acts and he leads himself to the dance floor with cheap beer in hand. He really feels like himself, completely carefree - and for a moment, he isn't bogged down by all these ideas of luck and loss. Maybe that's why he parties so often...

Arms are up and he's careful not to spill his drink on the individuals around him. He's mainly trying to get to the heart of all this elated anarchy and mainly to dance with excited strangers. Though, he wouldn't mind coming across a familiar face. He'd do what he could to get them to the same state of happiness.

"Now THIS is a party..."

Kamio gravitated closer to the dance floor, just bopping around until he crossed the floor boarder. He danced with abandon, letting the rhythm and the alcohol he drank at Akaya's place take him completely.

"Yeah!" Kamio echoed, on hearing a sentiment he very much agreed with. When he turned, he grinned to see that he had relocated someone from the surprise house party. "You can party, but do you have rhythm?" he challenged, because he couldn't help it when he was in his element.

AFTER-PARTY -- GAMES ON THE ROOF

For those who don’t enjoy crowds or loud music but aren’t ready to go home, head up the spiral staircase to the roof bar (note that those underage will not be served). The music isn’t as powerful and people can hear each other enough to enjoy the lawn games set up a bit aways from the outdoor bar. Indulge in twister, giant jenga, cards, ping pong, you name it, they’ve got it.
